“Psychological First Aid Services Remain in the Field”

  • Previews 25

GCMHP continues to provide psychological first aid services to displaced persons through its field teams deployed in displacement camps, as part of its ongoing efforts to support affected families across the Gaza Strip.

This service is an immediate humanitarian response aimed at providing practical and compassionate psychological support to people affected by crises. It focuses on enhancing their sense of security, calming them, listening to them, and connecting them with available services without causing further harm.

The field teams strive to help displaced families alleviate stress and anxiety, support family and social cohesion, and empower individuals to regain a sense of control and decision-making ability under difficult circumstances.

These interventions also emphasize the early detection of cases requiring specialized psychological support. These cases are referred to GCMHP centers to receive the necessary care from specialized teams through comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring continuity of support and achieving the best possible therapeutic outcomes.
