Amidst the successive challenges and psychological and social pressures faced by Palestinian women, many experiences repeated setbacks, whether on a familial, economic, or personal level. This can negatively impact their feelings, self-confidence, and ability to persevere.
This awareness session, attended by 25 women, highlighted the concept of psychological resilience as an essential life skill that helps women cope with crises and regain their psychological balance after trauma or failures. The session emphasized that setbacks are not weaknesses, but rather human experiences that can be transformed into opportunities for growth and discovering inner strengths. The session focused on understanding the stages of psychological recovery, the importance of accepting feelings, seeking support when needed, and practical strategies to enhance resilience and resilience.
The session aimed to introduce participants to the concept of psychological resilience and its importance, help them understand the nature of psychological setbacks and how to deal with them, enhance their skills in coping positively with stress, develop confidence in their ability to overcome difficulties, and encourage them to seek support instead of isolating themselves and withdrawing.
A group activity entitled “My Sources of Strength” was also conducted to discover personal strengths, along with practical training in deep breathing exercises to reduce stress.
