A delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) visited GCMHP in Gaza City. The visit was part of a follow-up effort to assess the progress of work and the services provided, as well as to review the supply, dispensing, and related procedures for psychiatric medications.
During the visit, the delegation received a detailed briefing from the programme's management on the nature of the psychological interventions offered to beneficiaries, the challenges faced under the current circumstances, and the mechanisms in place to ensure the continuity and quality of services.
The WHO delegation emphasized the vital role played by the GCMHP in supporting the mental health of the community. They stressed the organization's commitment to strengthening cooperation and supporting efforts to ensure the availability of essential medications and improve the quality of mental health services provided.
For its part, the GCMHP management welcomed the visit, considering it important for strengthening the partnership with the WHO and supporting the development of programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
