As part of GCMHP's efforts to enhance psychological resilience among those affected by ongoing crises, an awareness session conducted for 20 men to highlight the concept of "psychological resilience" as a vital tool for coping with acute stress. The session focused on empowering men to regain their psychological and social balance and transform suffering into a driving force for positive adaptation, rather than succumbing to despair or resorting to harmful defense mechanisms. The session addressed how to build "psychological buffers" that help men protect themselves and their families from collapse under the weight of harsh circumstances.
Practical activities were conducted with the participants, including brainstorming, a support mapping exercise, and a simulation activity.
The session also introduced GCMHP and the services it provides to the community, emphasizing the confidentiality and privacy of requests for psychological support.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their sincere thanks to GCMHP, emphasizing that they had changed their view of crises from being "the end of the road" to being "challenges that require new tools."
