On May 13, 2025, GCMHP conducted home visits to the families of orphaned children to apply psychological assessments. The GCMHP also held individual psychological counseling sessions, while cases requiring an advanced care were referred to GCMHP’s community centers.
In addition, an awareness session was organized at a kindergarten in western Gaza, attended by 22 mothers along with their orphaned children. The session addressed the stages of grief and common signs of sadness, indicators of possible abuse or neglect, and guidance on how mothers can respond to these signs. The session also included discussions on fundamental principles of child protection, aiming to strengthen mothers’ understanding of safe guarding their children’s well-being.
