“GCMHP Continued Efforts to Provide Psychosocial Support in Gaza”

GCMHP continued its efforts to provide psychological support to the most vulnerable groups, especially widows and orphans facing compounded loss and difficult living and psychological conditions.

In this context, GCMHP organized a series of psychosocial and awareness sessions in multiple areas of southern Gaza, targeting widowed women and their orphaned children. The sessions highlighted the psychological and social challenges faced by widows, including the absence of a breadwinner and the heavy responsibilities they shoulder in an unstable environment, as well as the trauma experienced by children due to the loss of a father and exposure to violent events.

The sessions also addressed coping strategies for children’s grief and anxiety, while emphasizing the mother’s role as a source of psychological support and stability. Participants engaged actively, expressing their feelings, sharing experiences, and receiving guidance to help them navigate this difficult period.
