GCMHP organized a specialized training day on stress, its effects, and coping strategies on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, at the Gaza Community Center. The event was attended by a number of clinical and field professionals working in the mental health sector.
The training was part of ongoing support for professional staff operating under highly challenging humanitarian and psychological conditions. The session included check-ins on participants' well-being and discussions about the daily challenges they face while providing mental health services in the field.
The training covered several key topics, including the concept of stress and its cognitive, emotional, physical, and behavioral imacts. Participants were also introduced to five practical techniques to manage stress, enabling them to apply coping tools and psychological resilience strategies in their work environment.
The day included practical exercises on the techniques presented , providing participants with opportunities for self-reflection, emotional release, and mutual support.
This activity was part of a series of professional training and support initiatives implemented by GCMHP to promote occupational mental health and ensure the continuity of high-quality mental health services for the community.
