GCMHP concluded the first session of mental health and psychosocial support activities for adolescents at the Hope Point in the Nawa Association in Deir al-Balah. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote mental health and community support for children and adolescents in the Gaza Strip.

The session, which spanned 16 meetings, targeted 100 young people. Participants engaged in a variety of psychosocial support activities, including recreational, creative, and artistic expression workshops, as well as life skills development. These activities aimed to enhance their resilience and provide positive emotional release.

Participants expressed their satisfaction with the activities, noting that the sessions helped them discover and develop their artistic and creative talents. They also provided a safe space for play, self-expression, and releasing negative energy resulting from the war.

Several beneficiaries indicated that the Hope Point offered a respite from the difficult conditions they face in tents. Most participants requested the continuation of such activities due to their positive impact on their mental and social well-being. Those in charge of the activities stressed the importance of providing supportive and safe spaces for children and adolescents, allowing them to express their feelings and develop their psychological and social skills, especially in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions in Gaza Strip.
