On Thursday, September 24, 2026, GCMHP finished a specialized training course titled "Self-Help Plus (SH+)." The training was attended by 16 mental health and psychosocial support professionals from various local and international organizations.
The training aimed to enhance the participants' knowledge and skills in applying the Self-Help Plus approach and to enable them to deliver this evidence-based intervention to individuals experiencing high levels of psychological distress. This initiative seeks to expand access to psychosocial support services tailored to the specific needs of the population.
This training was conducted as part of GCMHP’s plan to build the capacity of mental health and psychosocial support providers and to promote the use of evidence-based psychological interventions. These efforts aim to address the growing needs of the population in the Gaza Strip and support the psychosocial response amidst current humanitarian conditions.
