“GCMHP conducted group counseling and psychosocial support session for girls”

  • Previews 24

GCMHP conducted group counseling and psychosocial support sessions for girls affected by the war. The sessions aimed to enhance the mental health of the girls, help them understand the psychological and emotional effects of ongoing trauma and stress, and develop positive coping skills and psychological resilience in the face of challenges.

The sessions included interactive activities focused on identifying and expressing feelings associated with fear, anxiety, and sadness in healthy and safe ways. They also aimed to build self-confidence, promote positive thinking, and help participants discover their strengths and abilities, thereby increasing their self-esteem and enhancing their ability to cope with daily pressures. The sessions also included a range of practical activities that fostered a supportive environment, encouraging participants to interact, share experiences, and build positive relationships based on support, acceptance, and belonging.

These sessions are part of GCMHP’s efforts to provide psychosocial interventions that contribute to strengthening the resilience of children and adolescents, empowering them to cope with the effects of crises, and supporting their mental health and ability to continue their lives with confidence and hope.
