GCMHP conducted a training course in mental health and psychosocial support, targeting 45 participants from several partner organizations, as well as GCMHP’s professionals. The training is being conducted simultaneously in the Gaza and Middle Governorates, with the aim of enhancing the capacity of humanitarian workers to provide psychosocial support and protection services.

The training covers a range of key topics, including identifying trauma-related disorders and psychological distress in crisis contexts; developing skills in detection, referral, and providing psychological first aid; addressing gender-based violence; and raising awareness of policies to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse and ethical obligations, with a focus on the importance of self-care for humanitarian workers.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the training, emphasizing that it will contribute to developing their professional skills and enhancing their ability to provide more effective and high-quality psychosocial responses to beneficiaries.
