As part of the "Providing Integrated Protection and Support for Children and Adults in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank" project, funded by the European Union Humanitarian Aid in partnership with War Child, GCMHP conducted a series of "Supporting Supporters" sessions. These sessions included professionals working in GCMHP's community centers, as well as staff from partner organizations.
These sessions aim to enhance the mental health and resilience of supporters and frontline workers by providing a safe and structured space for emotional release, sharing experiences, and acquiring practical tools for psychosocial support and stress management. This contributes to reducing the burnout and professional exhaustion faced by workers in complex humanitarian situations.
These sessions stem from GCMHP’s belief that protecting and promoting the psychological well-being of psychological and humanitarian service providers is a fundamental pillar for ensuring the continuity and quality of services provided, and enabling them to continue performing their humanitarian mission efficiently and effectively, which will positively impact the quality of support provided to children and adults benefiting from the project’s services.
