Gaza Community Mental Health Programme "GCMHP" finalized a training course entitled “Supportive Professional Supervision"
The Training and Research Department at GCMHP finalized the fourth training course entitled "Supportive Professional Supervision." The training was in cooperation with The Social Intervention Unit in United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Sixteen UNRWA social workers participated in the training which was conducted by a group of GCMHP’s professionals
The finalization of the training course was in the presence of Ms. Rawya Hamam, Director of the Training and Scientific Research Department, Dr. Taysir Diab, Deputy Director General for Professional Affairs, Mr. Hasan Zeyada, Director of Gaza Community Center, and Dr. Suliman Mohammad, Head of Social Intervention Unit at UNRWA.
During the finalization, the trainees gave their feedback, and they discussed the lessons learnt from the training. They also added some recommendations for the fifth training.
The two-day- training discussed several important topics including: the seven-eyed model, child sexual abuse and how to deal with it, the importance of providing children with protection from all types of sexual abuse in addition to using the psychological and social internal conflict analysis as a tool for supporting the supervisors.
